Mission of Role

Play an integral role in building the future of financial services. We are looking for an experienced and talented Finance Director to join our core team.

• Passion for the cryptocurrency industry and innovations occurring inside the industry at large.
• Support the compliance, legal and operational responsibilities associated with AltaFin.
• Work collaboratively with the executive team in being a key resource for research, development of new strategies, and enhancement of current financial planning.
• Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking. Oversee FP&A team.
• Developing and coordinating all relationships with lending/financial institutions, auditors, consultants, and investors.
• Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.

What You Will Need to Have

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• 4+ years of progressive financial management experience.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Recent experience scaling a finance operation from inception to nine figure revenues.
• Excellent knowledge of general financial accounting and understanding of accounting rules and procedures including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent management, supervisory, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
• Proven experience to work with a team and collaborate cross functionally across an organization.
